https://www.igi-global.com/gateway/chapter/372400 This study investigates the impact of data-driven decision-making (DDDM) on Marketing procedures, particularly for government sector employees. The research uses a qualitative approach, interviewing Marketing specialists and civil officials from various government agencies and examining secondary data from government Marketing reports and case studies. The results show that DDDM can improve recruiting procedures, performance evaluations, training programs, and staff retention efforts by enabling more accurate applicant skills, identifying employee needs and performance gaps, and gaining predictive insights into employee engagement and happiness. However, challenges such as advanced data literacy, concerns about data protection, and resistance to change stemming from bureaucratic procedures are addressed. The study concludes that DDDM has the potential to create a more adaptable, efficient, and dynamic workforce in public service. Future research should focus on longitudinal studies and explore the integration of modern technologies to enhance decision-making processes.
https://www.igi-global.com/gateway/chapter/372260 This research investigates the pivotal role of women and children in beach waste management and environmental conservation within coastal communities. The objective is to explore how these groups contribute to sustainable practices, assess their impact on local ecosystems, and identify strategies to enhance their involvement. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the study integrates qualitative interviews with key stakeholders and quantitative surveys from community members. The research highlights that women and children are instrumental in initiating and maintaining waste management activities, often driven by traditional knowledge and community values. Key findings reveal that their involvement significantly improves waste segregation, recycling rates, and environmental awareness. Women often lead community-based initiatives However, challenges such as limited resource, and lack of institutional support hinder effectiveness. The study concludes that strengthening the support systems for these groups, through targeted training programs and enhanced community engagement
https://www.igi-global.com/gateway/chapter/374925 The creation of the metaverse will change how we live, work, and play in a digital environment, one of which the metaverse opens up great opportunities for the development of virtual democracy. One of the implementations of virtual democracy is through digital election voting using the metaverse. A paradigm shift in democratic participation is brought about by integrating the metaverse into election voting. In the metaverse, voters can participate in the election process through an immersive virtual environment; the digital platform also changes the voting experience. The objective of this study is to explore the feasibility of election voting through metaverse technology. The result of this research is that election voting using metaverse technology has been implemented in several countries, where the implementation uses a blockchain system that ensures every vote is recorded securely and cannot be manipulated, thereby reducing the risk of fraud. This research concludes that applying metaverse technology in election voting will significantly change virtual democratic activities.

By implementing these measures, Pakistan and Indonesia can better protect their digital assets and contribute to more secure global cyberspace.
https://www.igi-global.com/gateway/chapter/375832 This case study examines cultural sensitivity in film marketing through an analysis of the movie Joker (2019). Using Arthur Fleck’s character as a focal point, it explores how the film’s marketing portrays systemic inequalities and social injustice. The research employs qualitative methods, combining critical theory and discourse analysis to examine how personal trauma transforms into collective unrest. Through the lens of Fleck’s evolution into the Joker, the study analyzes themes of poverty, mental illness, class division, and social alienation. The findings reveal how the marketing campaign highlights marginalized populations’ potential for destructive behavior when overlooked by society. The study demonstrates how economic disparity and institutional failures act as societal destabilizers, with the Joker serving as a mirror reflecting contemporary social issues. This analysis calls for investigation into policies that could prevent social alienation and unrest in modern society.
https://www.igi-global.com/gateway/chapter/376902 Tax evasion poses significant challenges to governments, undermining revenue collection and trust in public institutions. E-Government platforms, leveraging advanced digital tools and data analytics, offer a promising solution to address this issue by enabling efficient monitoring and profiling of taxpayer behavior. This study explores the role of E-Government systems in mitigating tax evasion through the behavioral profiling of non-compliant taxpayers. By integrating machine learning algorithms and anomaly detection techniques, the research identifies patterns of non-compliance and develops predictive models for early detection of evasion risks. Furthermore, the study examines the psychological and socio-economic factors influencing taxpayer behavior, emphasizing the role of trust, transparency, and system usability in fostering voluntary compliance. The findings underscore the importance of data-driven policy interventions and ethical considerations in behavioral profiling, offering a robust framework for enhancing tax compliance and promoting fiscal transparency.
https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/… The invention of new technologies has enabled the development of the blockchain technology, from mechanical systems to highly automated assembly lines. The Industry 4.0 Concept requires self-sufficient factories, self-prediction, self-comparison, self-reconfiguration, and self-maintenance. Service innovation and industrial AI are receiving more attention from academia and industry. This article discusses managing blockchain technology in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 in the AI environment and the readiness of intelligent predictive informatics tools. This paper focuses on the basic concepts of Industry 4.0 and the current state of the blockchain system. It also identifies research gaps between existing systems and Industry 4.0 requirements. The main contribution is the Industry 4.0 implementation structure, which consists of a multi-layered framework that can help people understand and achieve the requirements of Industry 4.0. The most cited members in this cluster are ten life cycles, eight construction industries, and eight learning systems. This study found that the number of publications on AI and Industry has increased overall in the last 6 years, with China being the most powerful country. It also found several other sub-topics related to AI and Industry, such as AI Analytics, Risk Management, and Industrial Revolution.

https://jurnalaspikom.org/index.php/aspiko… This study examines the shift of crisis communication in the digital era by examining the role of digital news platforms in shaping public engagement. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach through analysis of 65 documents from scholarly sources and digital media, as well as social media tracking with NVivo 12 Plus and Tweetbinder. The case studies focused on the MCCC’s response to COVID-19 in Indonesia and the Gaza crisis for global comparison. The results showed three main findings: (1) public engagement tends to be passive, indicated by the dominance of reposts (82%), reflecting information fatigue, low digital literacy, and distrust of institutions, (2) the distribution of public sentiment is dominated by neutral to negative tones (48-68% neutral, 25-38% negative), as a consequence of institutional communication strategies that use deny and diminish rather than rebuild approaches, (3) scientific discourse is still centered on institutional strategies and responses, without accommodating the complexity of local digital culture. As a practical recommendation, this study suggests a data-driven, participatory, and empathetic crisis communication model, as well as the integration of real-time sentiment monitoring and an actionable and forward-looking two-way feedback system.

https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/… Purpose This research paper explores the concept of a Smart Citizen in the digital age, focusing on the UMEGA Model and the Nudge Approach. Smart citizens possess the necessary technological skills to make informed decisions in a smart country. Design/methodology/approach The paper uses Smart-PLS software to analyze survey questionnaire feedback and proposes a long-term solution for smart citizens’ decision-making role in sustainability. Findings The paper sets out to prove that of the UMEGA factors, motivation and social influence play the most important role in determining active citizen involvement, while perceived risks provide strong concerns capable of discouraging participation. Surprisingly, effort expectancy and empowerment also play important roles, but to a lesser degree. The study shows that low-key interventions such as reframing and taking advantage of social norms are effective in influencing the existence of citizens without undermining autonomy. These findings suggest that policymakers need to prioritize the establishment of social influence mechanisms and minimize perceived risks to try to build a more inclusive and sustainable city government. Originality A smart citizen will play a crucial role in adopting sustainable growth, with technology as a catalyst for creating a Smart Citizen. The research paper provides a framework for conceptualizing a Smart Citizen Decision Making role, aiding policymakers and researchers in developing future strategies.
