Cats have very soft coats of fur, which makes them look like soft rugs, and once you pet them, you don't want to stop because they are so soft. My pet cat loves to play with my family and me. My pet cat is the most attached to the person who gives him or her treats. All my friends and relatives also love my pet cat.

Many Muslims believe that Muezza (or Muʿizza; Arabic: معزة) was Muhammad's favorite cat. Muhammad awoke one day to the sounds of the adhan. Preparing to attend prayer, he began to dress himself; however, he soon discovered his cat Muezza sleeping on the sleeve of his prayer robe.

Al-Bukhari reported a hadees regarding a woman who locked up a cat, refusing to feed it till it died. The Prophet Muhammad said that her punishment on the Day of Judgment would be torture and Hell. Islam teaches Muslims, in relation to a cat, that: the cat should not be sold or bought like traded goods.
