Lovely Bali 🌴 memories: Most adventurous trip ever right from my friend’s flight not landing on time due to heavy thunderstorms to our plans being messed up the first day as we couldn’t meet each other. Lovely Bali 🌴 memories: Most adventurous trip ever right from my friend’s flight not landing on time due to heavy thunderstorms to our plans being messed up the first day as we couldn’t meet each other. As we kind of settled down, we once walked in the streets of Bali late in the night and this was mainly to shed some calories and also save some money on cab. 😂 Moreover we were not used to the Indonesian currency “Rupiah” which seemed a way too huge an amount to pay, but in reality it was lesser in value as compared to INR (Indian currency). Anyways in this process, we lost our way to the hotel. Cab was then our only life saver. Also on the activities, came my first parasailing experience which I had to do it to overcome my fear of heights and water (btw, my friend was way too bold and did it with ease) and I was literally frozen. But in my mind I had to do it. It was like a sense of achievement for me. I had a sigh of relief when I actually landed back safely to the shore😀. During this trip at a place called “Tannah Lot” we also ended up meeting a Southern star or a celebrity/actor whom we had never heard off 😂 and eventually ended up clicking pics with him (of course after getting to know that he was a star) and all that done on a supposedly dangerous rock. To get to this rock was a little tedious as the other rocks were really slippery and water splashes were equally hard. However it wasn’t impossible for us to get there. But when we actually reached there, we felt really good like we were at the top of the world. On the list of activities there was so much more to do like sea walking (which I had to skip as I was literally scared to be pushed onto the sea and I was not ready to let go my hands off the boat) unlike my friend who was already there down in the water. The organizers who were helping me do this tried their best to convince me to get into the water (fyi I was all decked up in a scuba diving costume assuming I was set to go)😂. But I was equally assertive and was clinging onto the boat like a leach😂😂. This was my most embarrassing moment having to feed the fish from a boat rather than experiencing it from within the sea😂😆 and then finally the “banana boat” ride experience. I should say that I was so relieved after all the sporty activities😊 until I came up with a much more fun stuff “cycling in Bali” and this experience was voila.. beyond my imagination. The hotel we were residing at called the “Grandmas hotel” (wonder why this name was given😆) was a budget-one, pretty decent, safe, located in the center and an affordable one”. There was also a beach close by at a walking distance. Our days used to start with many planned trips though we were there precisely for just about four to five days. We had only selected a few must-see places to visit which again tallied well with our budget and likes. We covered quite a few places like the beaches (Seminayak, Kuta, Pandava), then the “Paddy fields”, the Balinese temples (Uluwatu, Tannah Lot) and cultural shows and so on. Among all the places of visit were our favorite “Tannah Lot” which was again a temple with the beach with an amazing view and we also got to see some of religious ceremonies performed in the Balinese style. You could also donate money voluntarily if you wished to. Not to forget our frequent visits to the Indian restaurant nearby (Queens of India) which was like pretty close to our place of stay and the yummy “Mysore Masala Dosa”. There was something special about the food there and the atmosphere was amazing. Also what was more interesting is that the Balinese culture and traditions are very similar to Indian traditions and ways of worship. Like the offerings to god in front of the shops or in front of the house just before starting your day was worth a watch. In fact one of the beaches have been named after “Pandavas” from the “Mahabharata” epic and this beach is also called the “Pandava Beach” which is quite a popular one among international tourists. They have these statues of “Pandavas” at the entrance of the beach. Interesting ain’t it? Balinese believe in these and also in other religions. Not to forget Bali is also known for a relaxing massages. We went through a couple of salon’s in the street randomly to check on their services and finally managed to get a mini oil head message for ourselves. Most of the salons we visited were tiny/congested and were literally filled with tourists. Maybe because Balinese massages are really special and come with attractive prices.   Anyways I would like to end this story here with a mention that I loved everything about Bali 🌴. This trip was a mix of adventure, hilarious moments and great memories which is why I love Bali more than just it’s eternal beauty.
