I am a storyteller, actor, and content creator from Lamu, Kenya. My talent lies in blending comedy with education to make complex ideas relatable, fun, and impossible to ignore. In this post, I am sharing a snippet of my classroom dynamics with my student, Nyabare. We are tackling a ‘Maths calculation’ related to the upcoming Eid al-Adha, but as you will see, things don’t go exactly by the textbook!
What makes my talent unique?
I don’t just teach or perform; I build bridges between traditional education and modern digital storytelling. I am also the founder of ‘AROI KIJIWENI,’ a podcast platform that highlights local talent and voices from Lamu to the world. As an author of four books and a member of the Lamu Arts and Theatre Alliance, I use my platform to advocate for community growth and cultural awareness.
