“THE PATH TO THE LIGHT”

Introduction: The Quest for Light

From the dawn of human existence, the
question has persisted—what is the true nature of our being? Philosophers,
theologians, scientists, and mystics have all sought to uncover the secret of
life’s origin and purpose. Yet, amidst the myriad theories and beliefs, one
truth remains consistent: human life is a
sacred interplay of spirit, body, and soul.

In many spiritual traditions, the soul
is perceived as the immortal essence that departs at death to be judged or
reborn. However, this view oversimplifies the profound complexity of our divine
composition. The soul is not merely an external entity that leaves the body;
rather, it is the very essence of our consciousness—the totality of our
personality, traits, and awareness.

The biblical account of creation offers
a remarkable insight: man was formed from
the dust of the earth, and the breath of life was infused into him. This
divine breath—the spirit—is what transforms mere matter into a living soul. It
is the spirit that animates the physical body, giving it life, awareness, and
purpose. Without this divine infusion, the body remains inert, a lifeless form.

Consider the atom—the fundamental
building block of matter. An atom consists of a nucleus of protons and
neutrons, surrounded by electrons spinning in their shells. The atom’s identity
and properties are determined by the number and arrangement of these
particles—positive and negative charges working in harmony to produce a
distinct form of matter.

Similarly, the human being is a
microcosm—an intricate union of positive and negative forces. The spirit,
representing the positive divine life-force, and the earth, symbolizing the
negative physical matter, combine to create the human soul—a conscious, aware
entity capable of experiencing life in all its facets.

This balance of forces explains why
some souls gravitate toward the mundane, earthly pursuits, while others seek
spiritual enlightenment. It also sheds light on our capacity for dreams,
visions, psychic abilities, and astral travel—all manifestations of the soul’s
innate power and spiritual inclination.

Moreover, understanding that the
spirit returns to God at death, while the soul’s inclination determines its
destiny, opens a new perspective on morality, divine judgment, and eternal
life. It emphasizes the importance of aligning our inner being with divine
principles to fulfill our divine purpose.
