Today’s student workshop experience gave me the opportunity to step beyond theory and work directly with engineering tools, materials, and practical processes.
During the session, I participated in machining and fitting activities, gaining hands-on experience with workshop practices, precision, measurement, material handling, and the importance of accuracy when producing and assembling engineering components.
For me, practical engineering is where concepts become tangible. Working with machines and tools develops a different kind of problem-solving ability—one that requires patience, precision, safety awareness, and attention to detail.
This experience strengthened my interest in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, machining, and hands-on technical problem solving, while giving me a better understanding of how engineering principles are applied in a real workshop environment.
