Jessy Jay International Limited has established a robust and productive partnership with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), particularly in collaboration with the Plateau State Government. This partnership was notably exemplified through the successful organization of the Cluster Development Programme, which aimed to enhance SME capacity in the agribusiness processing sector.
Under this collaboration, Jessy Jay International Limited, represented by Mr. David Assomull, served as the Business Development Service Provider (BDSP), delivering training on the adoption and utilization of Solar-Powered Food Dehydration Units. The initiative resulted in the supply of several dehydration systems and fish dryers to over 20 beneficiaries, including both men and women engaged in agribusiness. These beneficiaries are active SMEs focusing on food processing, with the intervention significantly contributing to reducing post-harvest losses and improving product value chains.
Since the award of the contract in 2024, Jessy Jay International Limited has maintained a strong and ongoing relationship with SMEDAN. This collaboration has expanded beyond initial training, leading to the development of the WLIAB (World Livelihood and Income Advancement through Agribusiness) programme. The WLIAB project encompasses comprehensive agribusiness development and empowerment initiatives, including the creation of tailored training modules such as “Functional Training Areas for Entrepreneurship Development Centers” and “Identification of Business Opportunities.” The project also involves the production and distribution of training materials, including branded T-shirts and caps for participants.
Currently, Jessy Jay International Limited is actively pursuing further contracts and partnerships, notably with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Headquarters and the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Abuja. These efforts focus on expanding post-service training programs in agribusiness and promoting the adoption of solar-powered food dehydration technology as a means to mitigate post-harvest losses.
Throughout this collaboration, Jessy Jay International Limited has demonstrated its technical expertise, commitment to capacity building, and innovative approach to agribusiness development.
