During the final year of my bachelor's, I completed one year research in the field of antimicrobial resistance which culminate my curiosity further and applied to one of the prestigious institutions of Pakistan NIBGE-C PIEAS to continue my research in enteropathogenic lab. AMR is a global threat and is responsible for millions of death annually but I noticed one thing, that unlike climate change and global warming, AMR being a global threat didn't get the global momentum and the problem is escalating at alarming rate, ultimately this lead me to the conclusion that AMR is not only the mere responsibility of researchers and scientist but it needs transboundry cooperation, multilateral diplomacy and great leaders to raise voice on international and renowned forum so that everyone becomes aware of AMR as a global threat. Beyond the literature study of these infectious super bugs and identifying the resistant Genes through molecular diagnostic techniques I am an active member of ASM and I am granted with the two years virtual fellowship program of American society for microbiology which is a golden platform to build new skills, upgrade existing skills and strengthen my network with international peers of my field. To reach my voice to the international stage and present AMR on a global forum I am selected in a partially funded category in global debate championship organized by an american organization, European voice assembly which will be held in August in Istanbul, Türkiye. On the national level we organized awareness campaign, organizing study circle and visiting educational institute to educate the public about the misuse of antibiotic and portray AMR as a serious threat to the young students. My goal is to devote my whole energy in my research by mitigating the real time impact of Antibiotics resistance Bacteria and present it to the scientific community, not only I restrict myself to the laboratory walls but also to educate public and advocate for AMR.
