The pictures were taken in Kansat market in Chapainawabganj district of Bangladesh. Every day mango farmers from the surrounding areas bring them to the market using bicycles. Each bicycle contains around 200kg of mangoes. This market is held only held three months a year in May, June, and July. About 1200 tons of mangoes are sold at this market every day. It is the biggest mango market in the country. The mangoes are sold in ‘mon’ which means 40kg. – each ‘mon’ is sold for between £10-£12. The labourers are paid around £1-£2 per day for transporting the produce to the market.
