
Raviranjan Tiwari (born 20 July 2008) is a Nepali youth leader, social entrepreneur, cricketer, filmmaker, innovator, community advocate, and development enthusiast. Recognized for his diverse contributions to sports, youth empowerment, social service, technology, leadership, and creative media, he represents a new generation of young Nepalese leaders working at the intersection of impact, innovation, and public engagement.
Born in Kathmandu, Nepal, to Manoj Tiwari and Sima Pandey Tiwari, Raviranjan was raised in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu. From an early age, he displayed strong interests in leadership, sports, public speaking, social initiatives, and creative storytelling. His upbringing fostered a deep commitment to community development and youth empowerment, values that would later shape his work across multiple sectors.
Raviranjan completed his Secondary Education Examination (SEE) with a GPA of 3.6 and is pursuing Science (Biology) at Reliance International Academy, Chabahil, Kathmandu. Alongside formal education, he has actively participated in international conferences, leadership programs, youth forums, innovation summits, and capacity-building initiatives. His educational journey includes participation in international platforms such as the International Youth Conference (IYC) and other global youth and leadership summits, where he engaged with young leaders, policymakers, innovators, and development practitioners from around the world.
A passionate cricketer, Raviranjan has dedicated significant time to the development of his sporting career. He is a wicketkeeper-batsman known for his adaptability across formats. In T20 cricket, he is recognized for an attacking approach, while in One-Day and longer-format cricket he adopts a disciplined and technically sound style. He has represented domestic clubs and local teams in Nepal and India, including school-level cricket representing the Madhesh region of Nepal. He served as captain of Durga Bhagwati U-17 during the 2022 season and has participated in IndoβNepal cricket competitions. His cricketing experience includes local competitive cricket in Delhi, India, where he sought exposure to advanced playing conditions and longer-format cricket. He has also served as a mentor for XCC and REN Sports Club, supporting the development of young athletes and emerging players.
To strengthen his understanding of the game beyond playing, Raviranjan earned ICC Foundation Coaching and ICC Foundation Umpiring certifications. These qualifications reflect his broader commitment to cricket development, sports education, and mentorship. His long-term vision includes contributing to the advancement of Nepalese cricket both on and off the field.
Beyond sports, Raviranjan is widely known for his work in youth leadership and social impact. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Umanga Youth Network (UYN), a youth-led organization dedicated to leadership development, volunteerism, education, social awareness, community engagement, and sustainable development. Under his leadership, the organization has encouraged young people to become active contributors to society through campaigns, educational initiatives, social outreach programs, and community-driven projects.
He is also the Founder of UNDI, a youth-focused initiative that promotes innovation, leadership, collaboration, and civic participation among young people. Raviranjanβs commitment to innovation extends into technology and digital solutions. He currently serves as Project Director of Myfloo, a free menstrual-health and period-tracking web application designed to improve awareness, accessibility, and health education. Through this role, he contributes to project leadership, strategic planning, outreach, and development initiatives aimed at creating practical solutions for social challenges.
He has also served as Assistant Director of Red Blood and Project Head of Voices of Red Blood, initiatives focused on public awareness, health advocacy, youth engagement, and social responsibility. His involvement in these projects reflects his belief that young people can play a transformative role in addressing community challenges through leadership and innovation.
In the creative sector, Raviranjan has established himself as an emerging filmmaker and media enthusiast. Through his participation in the Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF) and related creative initiatives, he has interacted and collaborated with more than 150 international filmmakers, directors, producers, writers, and media professionals. His interest in cinema and storytelling stems from a belief that films and digital media can be powerful tools for education, awareness, cultural exchange, and social transformation.
As an entrepreneur, Raviranjan has been associated with several youth-led ventures and initiatives. He is connected with Umanga Wears, a youth-oriented enterprise, and has supported projects that combine entrepreneurship with social impact.
